The Writers’ Journal (TWJ) is a new platform established by Barbara Schilling Hurwitz in 2024. Her team is reaching out from NYC and the DC Metropolitan area, continuing to seek the works of emergent and established writers from across the globe dedicated to celebrating the art of storytelling.
Through stories, our writers share experiences that we hope will enrich the lives of our readers. Whether navigating the complexities of love, exploring the depths of loss, or embracing the joys of new beginnings, it is the mission of TWJ to inspire curiosity, provoke introspection, and foster connections between cultures.

Testimonials
“Barbara Schilling Hurwitz has curated a wondrous variety of poems and stories to which we can all relate. Whether real or imagined, with settings taking place at different stages of life, she has gathered valuable life-lesson accounts to share in this anthology. I especially enjoyed childhood and young adult experiences on the theme— Live and Learn.”
Lois Villemaire

Anna Camins
“I loved this anthology! It’s an amazingly diverse collection – writers from all over the world, writing all sorts of poetry, short fiction and short nonfiction. So many jewels within this book – so many authors I hope will keep writing and publishing!”
