Entangled thoughts clash
in the darkened room
should do, could do, must do, might.
Explosion of energy illuminates
my mind like fireworks
in the night sky
preventing rest as hours tick past
while struggling
to prioritize actions.
Somewhere in the calliope of thoughts
my mind drifts off
until the sun shines
through the open window
fresh air and fresh thoughts awaken.
